Dosing pumps are low-volume pumps with controllable discharge rates that are used to inject additives or difficult to mix fluids into mixing, pumping, or batch/tank systems. Dosing pumps are usually made from plastic, thermo plastic, and feature mounting holes or accessories. Single diaphragm models are available. Some dosing pumps are designed to move:

• Housing & Head: An all plastic housing is resistant to corrosive chemical agents. Head & valves etc. all are made of Chemical resistant material for longer & reliable operation.
• Solenoid: High quality, hot rated solenoid is designed to dissipate heat. Capacities & pressure do not delete even over extended use.
• Diaphragm: Superior diaphragm is designed to ensure long life even under the most demanding applications. Teflon faced, metal reinforced diaphragm ensures leak free operation.
• Electronic Circuit: State of the art electronic circuit (protectively coated with epoxy) is virtually unaffected by temp, EMI & other electric disturbances.
• Controls: Both stroke length and frequency can be adjusted giving pump the desired accuracy. Turndown ratio is 100:1

These Dosing or Metering Pumps (oscillating positive displacement pumps) suck in a defined fluid volume with the backstroke of the displacer and press it into the dosing line with the pressure stroke. Adjusting the stroke volume and the dosing strokes per time unit can regulate the metering capacity.
